SUPER TEXTS ARE YOU READY TO TACKLE THEM?

These are some of the books that Steven B. Sample, author of The Contrarian's Guide to Leadership, identifies as the most valuable books on leadership and human nature for modern leaders. He chooses four of the greatest leaders from the Bible (King James version): Moses (Exodus), David (1 & 2 Samuel), Jesus (Matthew) and Paul (Acts). Also on Steven Sample's list of books that share the timeless truths about human nature are Plato's Republic, Shakespeare's Hamlet and Othello, Sophocles' Antigone and Dante's Divine Comedy (John Ciardi translation).

There are more for you to discover and The Contrarian's Guide to Leadership offers up other super texts, everything from the Bhagavad Gita to The Prince by Machiavelli. Actually The Prince is required reading if you are lucky enough to get in the Warren Bennis/Steve Sample class on leadership. Who wouldn't want to be there?
